Do I need to pay in advance to rent a golfcart?: It depends on the rental location. For rentals at our cruise location, we require full payment in advance. This is because we frequently experience no-shows on non paid bookings, and we have a long waiting list of guests eager to book.
Do I need to pay a security deposit to rent a golfcart?: It depends on the service package. With CDW normal you need to pay a deposit of $250 that will be charged as reservation on your creditcard. If you coose to add the CDW super package for 15$ per day, then you don't have to pay a deposit.
What payment methods do you accept?: We accept all major creditcards. American Express is only accepted via online bookings and is not accepted on our in store pin machine.
What if I break down on a rental day?: In the unlikely event of a breakdown, please contact us immediately. Our team is prepared to respond swiftly to minimize any inconvenience. If the issue is minor and can be quickly resolved, allowing you to continue with minimal disruption, we will provide on-the-spot assistance with no need for refunds. For more significant issues that prevent the continuation of your rental, we will offer suitable alternatives such as a replacement vehicle or a ride back to your starting point, along with options for compensation. We are committed to ensuring your rental experience is enjoyable and stress-free, regardless of unexpected challenges.
Can I purchase an additional rental insurance?: The golfcart is standardly insured. You can choose to add a service package for $15 per day. This includes: Zero deductible, full theft insurance, flat tire service, zero deposit. When you rent from our cruise location, this is all included.
How old do I have to be to rent a cart on Bonaire?: To rent a golcart at golfcart rental bonaire you need to be 21 years old.
What is the cancellation policy?: You can cancell for any reason up untill 48 hours in advance of your booking. You will also be entitled for a full refund if your cruiseship doesn't dock.
Does the golfcart need to be refueled?: It depends on the service package. If you rent from our cruise office then fuel is included. Otherwise, the golfcart needs to be refueled. The cart needs to be filled up with petrol, regular unleaded gas. If you did not manage to refuel it we will ask you to pay the fuel price + extra tank service of 15$ during the check out.
What do I need to in case of a flat tire?: Remain calm, stop driving and park the car on the side. Call HB road service on 005997 852 604 , they will repair the tire on location. If you have full insurance the bill will be paid by Pickup Huren Bonaire. If you don’t have this it will be deducted from your deposit. Are there different driving rules on bonaire?: We drive on the right side of the road. On Bonaire, the main road always has the right of way, unless traffic signs indicate otherwise. Drivers coming from side roads, parking areas, unpaved roads, or private property must yield to vehicles already on the main road. Driving under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited on Bonaire. Even small amounts can affect your reaction time, and the police regularly check for impaired driving.
